Why Pilot?
The only test that matters is what happens in your classrooms
EVA is built by educators and grounded in research, but research alone doesn’t tell you whether something fits your students, your timetable, or your team. A pilot lets one department trial a complete EVA unit over a term — with our full support, no cost, and no commitment beyond seeing whether the approach works for your school.
WHAT THE PILOT INVOLVES
Three commitments, light-touch evaluation

One department, one term
Your HoD selects a KS3 History unit — Industrial Revolution, Tudors, or Post-War Britain. Their team teaches it across the term.

Full training included
Three short orientation videos before you start. Micro-training collection for use during the term. Direct line for questions.

Light-touch evaluation
Start-of-term survey, end-of-term reflection, optional student voice exercise. Nothing onerous.

Everything to run a successful trial

WHAT WE ASK
Four reasonable commitments
- Run the unit as designed (with normal teacher adaptation)
- Teachers complete a short start- and end-of-term reflection
- A 30-minute end-of-pilot conversation with us
- If the pilot goes well, willingness to be referenced by name (invitation-only, not obligatory)

Schools ready to embed structured dialogue
Heads of Department wanting to lead change in their team’s practice. SLT exploring whole-school responses to the oracy framework. Curriculum leads building evidence for Ofsted Quality of Education judgements. We can take on a small number of pilots in the 2026/27 academic year.
